The fees for certified copies are listed below, and this fee is non-refundable. If a record is not found, a Certificate of No Record will be issued
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, CLOSED daily between 12-12:45 PM
Order Online: You can choose to have your certificate mailed or pick-up in person. You can also visit the office during regular business hours to request in person.
To request in person:
- Print the application.
- Complete sections 1 & 4.
- Please bring your completed application, payment, and a valid government-issued ID to our office during regular business hours. Please note our office does not accept bills over $20.00.
To request by mail:
- Print the application.
- Complete sections 1, 2, and 4, and have section 3 notarized.
- Mail the completed, notarized application to our office along with a check or money order; please note all payments by check will be on hold for 14 business days.

Please note: The Office of Vital Records in Oxnard only has records for 2022-2023 for current births, deaths, and fetal deaths that occurred in Ventura County. However, we can issue certificates of stillbirth from 2003 to the present.
The Office of Vital Records in Oxnard does NOT provide marriage certificates. For Birth, Death, Fetal Death, and Marriage certificates for any other year, including 2022 and 2023, you can visit the Ventura County Clerk-Recorder office at http://recorder.countyofventura.org/county-recorder/vital-records/
