Dr. Javier Romero graduated from University of California, Davis, School of Medicine in Sacramento. He completed his Residency in General Surgery at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara and Fellowship in Trauma and Critical Care at LAC/USC Medical Center. Dr. Romero is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery in Critical Care Surgery and General Surgery; he is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Eastern Association of Surgery of Trauma, and Society of Critical Care Medicine. Currently, Dr. Romero serves as the Director of Surgical Critical Care Services, Chief of Staff Elect, and Co-Director of the Trauma Services at Ventura County Medical Center.
