Dr. Robert Gonzalez, graduated from the UCLA School of Medicine. Trained in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in the UCLA system and is Board Certified in both fields. After 10 years of private practice, Dr. Gonzalez joined the Medical Staff of Ventura County Medical Center as a Teaching Attending on the Inpatient Medicine service. His clinical duties included Ward Attending, ICU coverage and Rheumatology Clinic. Dr. Gonzalez has lectured in Board Review courses and on a National level for the American Academy of Family Physicians in Rheumatology, Geriatrics and Internal Medicine topics. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of the UCLA School of Medicine. Currently, Dr. Gonzalez serves as the Medical Director of the Ventura County Health Care Agency and is responsible for the oversight of physician services for the Ventura County Medical Center, Santa Paula Hospital and 35 clinic sites. Recently Dr. Gonzalez was appointed Director for Ventura County Health Care Agency.
