TB control is one of the highest priorities in Ventura County's
overall efforts in communicable disease control. The Tuberculosis
Control Office provides screening, diagnostic work-ups, nurse and
physician evaluations, medication to prevent and treat tuberculosis,
inservice to medical providers, and consultation to the medical
community. The TB Control Office works closely with the medical
community to identify TB suspects early, foster adherence to the
treatment regimen, prevent acquired drug resistance, shorten the
period of communicability and reduce TB transmission in Ventura
County.
You can download the
TB Control Office's FAXable TB Suspect/Case Report Form to facilitate TB
reporting. You can also download the Confidential
Morbidity Report Form to report other communicable diseases to our office. You
can call 805-981-5201 for a master copy of either form.
