Community Leadership Committee (CLC)
Mission: To ensure that the highest quality mental health service and supports are provided for persons served through the MHSA programs and that the tenets of wellness, recovery and resiliency are upheld.
Purpose: The MHSA CLC will lead the community planning for all MHSA Components and will review MHSA Performance Outcomes, stated program and component goals and make recommendations to the Department based on their review.
The CLC will lead the planning for all MHSA components, identifying unmet needs, suggesting possible programming and supports to fill gaps in the continuum and utilizing recommendations from the various Component Workgroups (CSS, PEI, WET, CapFac/IT, and Innovation). For each upcoming fiscal year, CLC will recommend an MHSA plan which will be brought to the Mental Health Board, the MHSA plan will be presented by the Department to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.

The Public Hearing will be held on March 17, 2014 at the Behavioral Health Advisory Board meeting from 1:00 pm. - 3:00 p.m. in the Training Room at 1911 Williams Drive, Oxnard.

CLC Membership Information
The Ventura County Behavioral Health Department is seeking individuals to serve on the Community Leadership Committee.
Members have the opportunity to help set policy for community mental health services and supports that emphasize wellness, recovery and resiliency. The committee's role is to provide regular review of program goals and outcomes and make recommendations for policy and planning. Members represent a wide range of stakeholders including consumers of mental health services, family members of consumers, those affiliated with community-based organizations and underserved populations in Ventura County. These meetings operate under the Brown Act and are open to the public.
Frequency of meetings: Minimum of four times per year
Location of meetings: 1911 Williams Drive, Oxnard
Term of Membership: 2 years
Current positions that need to be filled:
- 1 Family member of a child consumer of mental health services (plus 1 alternate)
- 1 Family member of an adult consumer of mental health services (1 alternate)
- 1 Transitional Aged Youth (18-25) representative (1 alternate)
- 1 General community member (1 alternate)

Ayude a dar forma a los servicios locales de salud mental
